Settings › General › About

"Model Name" tells you the line and generation. "Capacity" tells you the storage. Note both — the price swings hundreds of dollars between configurations.

Check for a SIM tray

A slot on the edge of the case, or a "Cellular Data" row in Settings, means you have the cellular model — the one we pay more for.

Sign out and erase

Back up first, turn off Find My, sign out of your Apple Account, then reset the device. We cannot buy an activation-locked iPad at any price.

Common questions

How much can I get for my iPad?

It depends on the line, the generation, the storage and whether it has cellular. Our top iPad payout right now is $1,280. The full table on this page lists Wi-Fi and cellular prices side by side, so you can find your exact configuration.

What does "W" and "C" mean on the price list?

W is the Wi-Fi-only model and C is the cellular model — the one with a SIM tray or eSIM that works on a carrier network. Cellular iPads generally sell for more, so we pay more for them.

Do you buy iPads with cracked screens?

No. Unlike iPhones, a cracked iPad screen costs more to repair than the device is worth to resell, so we only buy iPads with intact glass and a working display.

How do I find out which iPad generation I have?

Open Settings › General › About and look at "Model Name" — newer iPadOS versions name the generation directly. If it only shows a model number like A2436, read it to us over the phone and we will tell you what you have.

Do I need to erase my iPad before selling it?

Yes. Back up anything you want to keep, turn off Find My, sign out of your Apple Account, then erase it under Settings › General › Transfer or Reset iPad. An iPad still tied to your account is activation-locked and cannot be resold.

Do you buy the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard too?

We do. Both generations of Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard in 11" and 12.9" are on our accessories list, and they are worth bringing in with the iPad rather than leaving in a drawer.

Is a sealed iPad worth more?

Considerably. Our published prices assume a sealed unit; deduct $100 if the iPad has already been activated. Condition, storage and cellular capability account for the rest.
